Two years ago, on 24 February 2022, war and death returned to Europe with Russia's attack on Ukraine in violation of international law.

On this occasion, Federal President Steinmeier reiterates Germany's continuing support to all Ukrainians: There is no doubt where Germany stands in this situation: alongside and with Ukraine. He reconfirms to continue to stand up for and defend our liberal and democratic values.
